Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
The Eastern Kingbird is fairly common and widespread in most of the United States, except the western United States. It may be spotted in open fields, clearings in woodlands, gardens, and parks, sitting conspicuously on a perch, waiting for flying insects. This flycatcher is mostly gray above, and white below, and distinctively has a white-tipped black tail. The Eastern Kingbird measures about 8.5 inches in length and 1.4 ounces in weight.
This Eastern Kingbird perched on a branch was photographed at the Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge in Smyrna, Delaware on 6-25-2015. I used a Nikon D810 camera body and a Nikon 300mm f/2.8 VR2 lens to capture this image.
