The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

I have been taking photographs since the start of the "60's" when we raided a dusty old theater prop and costume box owned by the grandfather of a friend and created our own '40's gangster montage with the suits and fadora's we found there. I was using only a B&W Kodak box camera, and we staged it all in our family cars and the deserted, gothic "old man's house" on our block in Corona, Queens. What I remember most from those photos was the way shape, shadow and light alone can create an impressionistic depth of mood and rich narrative.
